Are You Allergic To Making Money with Ease?

“I want to be able to create money easily and authentically, and to have it flow naturally to me, just like my breath does,” my client excitedly shared with me.

“And yet when I think about making money and identifying a bold money goal for myself I have a disconnect and I start to shut down.”

We explored her statements further and she realized that she was shutting down because her beliefs about making money and her money mindset told her that it “had to be hard.”

What’s more she realized she held the belief that in order to succeed at making money she had to ignore her right brain intuitive side and instead focus on creating a left-brain linear plan.

I remember holding this money mindset about money myself as well - entering into a robotic, anxious, task-master mode every time I attempted to generate immediate income. It was as if the only thing that mattered was “doing” and checking things off my make-money-now-to-do list.

I didn’t have any real connection with my heart or spirit.  The result?  I ended up exhausted and emotionally spent at the end of the day.

And while my focused efforts would produce results - they weren’t anything outstanding.  In the end, my attempts to make money weren’t worth the stress and physical exhaustion that it produced.  It was as if I was literally experiencing an allergic reaction to making money in my business and having money in my life.

I experienced an inner conflict because I was afraid that in order to make real significant money it meant I had to go with one of two extremes:  the old, left brain, practical way of working harder and harder or the right brain way of simply meditating, making no plans and just blindly trusting that money would come to me by attraction if I remained positive and trusting.

Neither extreme seemed balanced or truly effective to me.

I realized there had to be a new money mindset for making money.  And fortunately I was right!  What I do now is focus on completing 3 top income-generating tasks daily – from a place of inspiration and EASE.

The way I’ll do this is either the night before work or during my morning reflection time I’ll reflect on three top income-generating tasks that I feel inspired to focus on during that day. I set the intention to receive insight around which prospects to reach out to, or which marketing tasks that would generate immediate, groups I could speak to or joint venture partners I could reach out to.

Instead of entering my left-brain-figure-it-all-out mode - I quietly wait to receive each inspired idea.

Often I am aware of particular tasks that need to be completed that will generate income one to two months out.  This usually has to do with an event that I’m planning (like an upcoming teleseminar series, training or presentation).

Then I’ll focus on taking inspired action around two things that will generate immediate income like following up with current prospects, or reaching out to create new prospects or personally reaching out to someone that I feel would benefit for my services.

The money mindset I’ve chosen to take on is to complete my top three income producing activities daily – in a way that is relaxing and nurturing, authentic and in alignment for me.  

These could take just a few minutes or one hour - and it’s truly the most important thing to do.  After I complete them, I could “blow off” the entire day if I wanted to, knowing that I had completed the basics for my business!

These top 3 actions support me in being “financially fed” each day.   I complete them in a way that nourishes my heart, soul and body – and that flows naturally to me, just like my breath does.
