I know exactly how you feel. I have been there and done that and got the T-shirt to prove it. For years I have worked endless meaningless jobs. Jobs where I got up, went to work and came home feeling no sense of accomplishment. The only reward for my endless hours of repetitive labour was a meagre paycheck every weeks.
If this is you I am here to show you that there is a way out!
Signs you are stuck in a dead end job!
Answer the questions below. If you answer NO to over half of them chances are you are not going anywhere in your current position and you future will be exactly as it is today. The road you are travelling and the bridges you are crossing will take you nowhere.
EMPLOYMENT/EMPLOYER BASED QUESTIONS:
- Have you been promoted or moved to a higher position in the last 5 years?
- Does your employer recognize your skills and abilities?
- Are you valued for your performance?
- Are your accomplishments and achievements rewarded?
- Do you get bonuses or wage increases based on your performance?
- Does your job challenge you?
To add more validity to the fact that you are not happy with your current job. Answer these personal questions? A YES answer to these questions means it is definitely time to move on.
PERSONAL QUESTIONS:
- Do you experience “Monday Morning Blues” everyday? Does the thought of going to work leave you feeling depressed?
- Does you job take away from your affect your time with family & friends? Do you work so many hours that you do not have time for a social life? Does you life consist of eat, work and sleep?
- Does your job affect your health or well-being in a negative way? Are you always feeling exhausted? Do you lose sleep thinking about having to go to work?
- Do you look for ways to save money on a tight budget?
- Are you feeling trapped in your current situation?
Have you come to the conclusion you ARE stuck in a rat race?

I DID IT…SO CAN YOU
I am no longer living the Rat race. I made my decisions to move on and I haven’t looked back. I still have to work hard, but I work on my own schedule, allowing me quality time with my family and friends. I am my own boss. I actually enjoy going to work and look forward to it on a daily basis. Every day I accomplish something new and I enjoy the sense of pride that comes with it. I am rewarded for my work and I see bigger and better things ahead. I have made mistakes on my journey but I only look back to see what I have learned and what knowledge I have gained from them. You will only regret the chances you never took or the opportunities you overlooked. Put yourself in a position where you never have to look back with regret and a sense of failure. I am still working towards my goals but everyday I do one more thing to get me a step closer to realizing them.
